Kitten Wait List Process
What is a Wait List?
A wait list is a way of you reserving your place-in-line to choose your kitten before others. We only produce a few litters a year and our kittens are very popular which is why we have introduced a wait list.
When you commit to purchasing a kitten and put your name on our wait list, you will be contacted when our kittens have entered the 'claiming' time. This is when they are 6-8 weeks old as their coat pattern and color starts to show more due to the fuzziness subsiding. Each kitten will have been assessed and priced according to its coat clarity and contrast, potential show-quality, desirability. This price range is between $1800 - $2200.
We contact our wait lists in order of Breeder, Showing then Pet and follow the order of people on the list. When you are contacted you have 24 hours to check out our website / Facebook page for the updated pictures/video and details about our kittens, and let us know which kitten you are interested in.
If the litter presented to you does not have a kitten which you would like to reserve, you can 'pass' and stay in line to choose on the next available litter. But please be aware, due to only producing a few litters a year, it could be some months before the next opportunity.
Getting your Name on the Kitten Wait List
We do not add you to the wait list until you have completed our online questionnaire to ensure you are a purrfect fit for one of our kittens. Answer the 12 questions to give us some insights into your home situation and time you can commit to you Purrever Pet, and we will come back to you within 1 day!
Now that you've completed our questionnaire and have received an email informing you that you are an approved Purrever Pets home, you will need get on our wait list. This will put you in line to choose the Bengal you want, when our litters become available to claim at around 6-8 weeks old. This is only the choosing process! Our kittens do not leave us until around 12 weeks old.
We only have about 4 litters or so a year, so putting your name on the list ensures your spot in the claiming process. We will send you a wait list contract relating to which wait list you choose, for you to sign and return. At this point we will ask for the relevant deposit, as outlined below. Until a signed contract and deposit is received, you are not on the wait list and people can be placed before you.
The kitten-claiming process and how it works:
Around 6-8 weeks old when our kittens' personalities have started to come out and their coat pattern and color is developing, we reach out to the first inline people on the Breeders list.
Once they have chosen or passed, the next list contacted is the Showing wait list, and then its the Pet wait lists turn.
A lot of people who are looking for an extra special, eye-catching kitten choose to go on the Showing wait list to move themselves up the list and better their chances of choosing their perfect kitten. This comes at an extra cost (see below), but allows you to jump the list! (You are not obliged to show your kitten when purchasing a Show-quality kitten).
We take a 10% nonrefundable deposit to go on any of the wait list.
The prices are as follows:
- Breeders wait list: Kitten price including breeding rights $3900, deposit of 10% is $390
- Showing wait list: Kitten price including showing rights $2900, deposit of 10% is $290
- Pet wait list: Kitten are priced from $1800, deposit of 10% is $180
